Bell nid wiring diagram. If your wiring bridge modules have two screw posts each line will appear on a separate module. Now on the customer access side you will have 2 sets of wires red green black and yellow. With an nid you will have utility access and customer access. If your wiring one phone line you will utilize the red and green wires. The only part you will concern yourself with is the customer access side. The customer side of the box typically contains the wiring posts for each of the houses internal phone lines and a customer test jack which is simply a normal wall style jack for a normal phone cord.
The idea here is that if a problem occurs the customer can open the simplified side of the box and try the line with a standard phone. Old system was 3 wire usually red white and blue which should have been in terminals 25 and 3 respectively. The nid is important because it contains something called a demarcation jack that is on the part of the line outside your home. The utility will run their own wire to the unit. The network interface device nid defines the point at which you become responsible for the phone wiring within your home.
